Roter Berg Kenzingen Merlot

Dense, ripe aromas of black plum, black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by fine notes of anise and sandalwood. On the palate the wine presents itself as powerful and compact, carried by chalky, grippy tannins. The dark fruit is in perfect harmony with the striking structure and a fascinating herbal spiciness. Nuances of cardamom and some bell pepper join in.
The finish is exceptionally long and marked by a fiery minerality, accompanied by a lingering hint of fresh mint. A great Merlot with enormous ageing potential – a wine that deserves plenty of time.
